DAY 1
CASABLANCA ARRIVAL
Get ready for an abundance of color, culture, and excellent cuisine when you make your way to Morocco! We'll make sure you get to your hotel in Casablanca quickly after arriving at the International Airport, where you'll get to sample some of the best food the country has to offer. If you arrive in Casablanca before dinner, you'll be able to enjoy a delicious meal from one of the city's most popular eateries.
DAY 2
CASABLANCA – ESSAOUIRA
After our leisurely breakfast, we're off to explore the vibrant city of Casablanca! Our first stop is the majestic Hassan II Mosque, a wonder to behold and the only one in Morocco to allow non-Muslims. We'll then take a scenic drive to Essaouira for lunch, before reaching our beautiful hotel, complete with a stunning view of the ocean, by early evening.
DAY 3
ESSAOUIRA SIGHTEEING TOUR
Awaken to the enchanting sights of Essaouira, a quaint fishing village that exudes peace and artistry. Explore the town's alluring medina, with its striking fortifications situated next to the shimmering sea and its key features of Portuguese, French and Berber architecture. Delight in a seaside lunch of succulent freshly grilled fish, noting that it's just part of the day's journey. Enjoy a steaming cup of Morocco's signature mint tea and sample some delectable French pastries in one of Essaouira's delightful cafes. As the day winds down, take part in your first cooking class on this trip - prepare a Moroccan chopped salad and fish tajine with the day's market-fresh ingredients. Finally, savor the delicious flavor of your own culinary masterpiece!
DAY 4
ESSAOUIRA – ATLAS MOUNTAINS
This morning, why not discover the peaceful streets of Essaouira, enjoy some shopping, and take a leisurely ride on a camel? We’ll then set off and explore the Ouirgane Valley in the High Atlas Mountains. We'll take a tour of an Argan oil cooperative and then continue on to our quaint and welcoming hotel, where we’ll stay for the next three days.
DAY 5
ATLAS MOUNTAINS
After a delicious Berber breakfast, we'll embark on a trip to the Tinmel Mosque in the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains, a mosque open to visitors of all faiths. Afterward, we'll visit a local village and browse the souk while selecting only organic ingredients for the hotel's cooking classes. Then, we can savor a traditional village lunch of grilled meats, chicken kebabs, and vegetable salads. On our way back, we'll learn how to make a delicious Moroccan soup and couscous, completing our gastronomic experience in Morocco.
DAY 6
ATLAS MOUNTAINS
Today, we have the chance to delve into the fascinating Berber culture with a trek through the stunning mountain range! Not only will we be able to take in the beauty of the area, we will also learn about the traditions of the locals. To make this journey even more special, we will stop for lunch at a rural village to have a meal with a family. As the day ends, you can wind down at the hotel with a relaxing dip in the pool, a traditional hammam or choose from a range of spa treatments.
DAY 7
MARRAKECH
Come and explore the enchanting city of Marrakech on a journey that will take you to the majestic Saadian Tombs and the vibrant Jewish quarter. Admire the colorful artisans and craftsmanship in the medina and souks, or relax at a rooftop café overlooking the Djemaa el-Fna square. As night falls, this iconic square comes alive with remarkable performances from some of the best entertainers in the country. Be mesmerized by the lively snake charmers, hustlers, musicians and storytellers as they fill the square with enchantment. Don't miss out on this opportunity to experience the unique beauty of Marrakech!
DAY 8
MARRAKECH
Join on an exciting adventure through Marrakech! We will marvel at the old city walls and lush groves of palms as we move through this vibrant city. Our next stops will be the Yves St. Laurent Museum, the Majorelle Gardens, and the recently opened Museum of Culinary Arts. We will explore the diverse spices used in local dishes and pick up some to take home at a nearby spice shop. Nascent appetites will be appeased at a Street Food Tour. Afterward, take some time to explore the famous Djemaa el-Fna and purchase souvenirs for loved ones. For those interested, an optional trip to a traditional Moroccan hammam is available. We will finish the day with a cooking class and farewell dinner, finishing with a mouthwatering Moroccan feast that we prepared together.
DAY 9
MARRAKECH/CASABLANCA AIRPORT
At the end of our Moroccan gastronomy tour, we are now providing transportation to either Marrakech or Casablanca airport, depending on your travel itinerary. We hope you enjoyed your experience and we wish you safe travels back home!
