DAY 1
ARRIVE IN CASABLANCA
This is a great start to a Morocco joureny, with the opportunity to visit one of the most impressive sights in Casablanca - the Hassan 2 Mosque. Built in 1993, it is a modern masterpiece of Islamic architecture and is considered one of the main religious and cultural landmarks in Morocco. If your flight arrives in the morning, you can visit the mosque on the same day after checking in at the hotel. Otherwise, if your flight arrives later in the day, the visit can be scheduled for the following morning. It's worth noting that the Mosque of Hassan II is the only mosque in the country that allows non-Muslims to enter. This is a unique opportunity to explore the intricate details and stunning architecture of this impressive building. After the visit, you can return to your hotel and relax, getting ready for the rest of your Morocco travel package. DAY 2
CASABLANCA – RABAT – ASILAH
You'll begin your adventure in the bustling city of Rabat. Immerse yourself in the history of the Mausoleum Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower, both majestic reminders of the late King Mohammed V and his sons. Then, explore the Oudaya Kasbah, a 12th-century fortress that overlooks the city. Don't miss the chance to visit Chellah too, a Roman-and-medieval site that's still full of secrets. Afterward, you're off to Asilah, a quaint coastal city that's brimming with culture. Marvel at the city walls, a tapestry of thoughtfully painted murals, and take in the view from the Skalla fortress. From here, you can admire the beauty of the Medina and the Atlantic Ocean.
DAY 3
ASILAH – TANGIER – CHEFCHAOUEN
After a nourishing breakfast, your journey will continue from Rabat to Chefchaouen, with a brief stopover in Tangier. On your route, you will be treated to the magnificent view of the Cape Spartel lighthouse and a short tour of the stunning Caves of Hercules. Lunch will be taken at a restaurant in Tangier and the journey will resume to Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, you will check-in to a comfortable accommodation and you will have free time to explore the city. Of particular interest is the medina of Chefchaouen, whose winding streets and blue-painted buildings will undoubtedly captivate you. You can wander around and take in the culture and vibrancy of the city, or opt to have dinner at a restaurant.
DAY 4
EXPLORE CHEFCHAOUEN
After an early morning breakfast, take your time to explore the uniquely blue-tinted city of Chefchaouen. Get lost in the cobbled streets of the medina, where you can source locally crafted items such as textiles and hand-embroidery. You can spend the afternoon relaxing in the main square, discovering the culture, or exploring one of the many nature reserves nearby. No matter which activity you enjoy most, Chefchaouen promises its guests a day of unforgettable beauty and culture.
DAY 5
CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES
Today, you will have a great opportunity to explore two incredible cities in Morocco: Volubilis, known for its ancient Roman ruins, and Fez, the oldest, complete medieval city in the world. Your first destination is the town of Volubilis, home to many impressive and well-preserved archaeological wonders. After that, you will continue on to Meknes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see its famous Bab Mansour Gate to Moulay Ismail Palace and the gorgeous Medersa Bou Inania. Finally, you will reach Fez and have the chance to wander through its vibrant medina with its winding alleys, markets, and awe-inspiring architecture. Be sure to check in to your traditional riad before taking in the sights and sounds of this vibrant and ancient city in the evening.
DAY 6
FES SIGHTSEEING TOUR
Start your morning off on the right foot, and explore the centuries-long history of the Fez Medina with a knowledgeable tour guide. Wind your way through the bustling marketplaces and alleys, spotting craftspeople at work and animals carrying cargo. Admire the grandeur of the city's sites like the Karaouine Mosque, the Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, the Nejjarine fountain, and the traditional tannery. End the tour on a high note at the Merenid Tombs in New Fes, and take in the magnificent views of the entire medina, a living embodiment of its unique history.
DAY 7
FES AT LEISURE
From its famed landmarks to the relaxing atmosphere, Fez has something for everyone. Why not start with a visit to the Blue Gate, a magnificent entrance to the medina? After that, why not relax by indulging in a hammam experience, a traditional Moroccan spa with a range of treatments and massages? Once you have worked up an appetite, you can take a cooking class to learn some of the local culinary techniques, and try your hand at making traditional dishes such as tagine and couscous. After all that, take a break at a café and sip on some mint tea while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of this charming city.
DAY 8
FES – MIDELT – MERZOUGA
Begin your journey south by visiting Ifrane, Morocco’s “Switzerland,” famous for its picturesque architecture and stunning natural beauty. Capture amazing photographs and explore the city before journeying on to Azrou where, in the forests, you'll catch glimpse of playful Barbary macaques, native to the region. Stop in Midelt for lunch, sampling the local cuisine before continuing your adventure, taking in the magnificent view of the Ziz gorges, some of the most breathtaking natural sights in Morocco.
DAY 9
MERZOUGA – JEEP SAFARI – NOMAD FAMILY – SAHARA
Upon waking up, you'll have the chance to take a 4x4 journey across the expansive dunes, with the black volcanic rock desert presenting an array of fossils and marvellous formations. Afterwards, you'll be immersed in a nomad family's customs and way of living, and experience the unique music of Gnawa in the nearby Khamlia village. And lastly, you can be captivated by the beauty of the Lake Dayate Sarji and its variety of wildlife, including pink flamingos, as you take in the grandeur of the natural scenery.
DAY 10
SAHARA – ERFOUD – TODRA GORGES - DADES VALLEY
After watching the stunning sunrise from atop the dunes and having a nourishing breakfast, you'll hop back on your camel and head toward Merzouga. During the journey you'll pass through Erfoud and Tinejdad, taking the time to enjoy a local lunch. In the afternoon, you'll reach Tineghir, where you'll start your journey towards Todra Gorges. Along the route, you'll have the chance to take some stunning photos before arriving at the spellbinding Gorges. Taking a scenic walk under the neighboring rock walls will provide you with yet another breath-taking view. Following this, you'll drive to Boumalne Dades, where you'll take in the picturesque views of Dades Valley with all its natural beauty and captivating rock formations. Upon arrival at your hotel, you'll have completed your day and can spend the night in comfort.
DAY 11
DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH
Continue your travels today by taking a trip to the famous Rose Valley. As you make your way there, take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the Skoura palm grove. This special area is home to more than a million palms and many kasbahs, creating a breathtaking view. Your next stop is Ouarzazate, nicknamed the “door to the desert." The name originates from the Berber language and stands for “without noise.” While there, you should check out the Taourirt Kasbah, which showcases the unique design and architecture of Morocco.
DAY 12
KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU – TAROUDANT
This morning you'll embark on an amazing journey across the lower edge of the Atlas Mountains. From the breathtaking views of the majestic landscape to the quaint Berber villages, you'll be mesmerized by all there is to discover. After an unforgettable journey, you'll arrive in Taroudant, located in the center of a lush valley near the Atlas Mountains. Wander through the enchanting streets and sample the unique culture. While there, don't forget to pick up some of the local saffron, famous for its deliciously distinct flavor.
DAY 13
TAROUDANT – NATIONAL PARK – AGADIR
Today, you're embarking on your Grand Morocco Tour! You'll be taken along the most breathtaking coastal road in the country - passing through lush banana and citrus plantations that fill the air with the sweet aroma of local fruits. Once you've reached Souss-Massa National Park, you'll be amazed at the breathtaking natural views, with many different species of wildlife roaming the area. Moving onwards to Agadir, you can take in the sights of the beautiful resort town, dotted with restaurants and hotels. With plenty of time to explore, you can explore any of the many attractions that the city has to offer.
DAY 14
AGADIR – ESSAOUIRA
Upon arriving on your 17-day Morocco journey, you'll be whisked away on a picturesque coastal ride to the old town of Essaouira. Once you arrive, you'll check into your riad or hotel, and have the rest of the day to explore this magnificent city, a late-18th-century fortress. This port city was a favorite of Bob Marley, and here you'll have the chance to enjoy its ancient medina, stroll along its expansive white-sand beach, and absorb the tranquil atmosphere of its souks. Don't forget to try some of the region's freshest seafood at a local restaurant in the evening for the ultimate experience.
DAY 15
ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKECH
On this leg of your Morocco grand tour, you'll start the day with breakfast and then depart for Marrakech. Along the way, you'll enjoy a relaxing drive lined with Argan oil cooperatives, and you'll have the opportunity to visit one and even see the famous goats climbing on the trees. After a 3-hour journey, you'll arrive in Marrakech and check into your accommodation. From there, you'll have the rest of the day to explore the vibrant and colorful medina and souks of Marrakech. These bustling markets are a hub of activity, with merchants selling everything from textiles and pottery to spices and jewelry.
