DAY 1 ARRIVE CASABLANCA
Make your way to the Airport in Casablanca and transfer to your hotel once you arrive. Later in the evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome orientation and dinner. Celebrate your arrival with a delicious meal.
DAY 2 MARRAKECH
Take a journey back in time this morning in the Habous district and mechouar, outside the Royal Palace. Enjoy the stunning sights of Anfa as you make your way to the majestic Marrakech. Savour the beauty of the Koutoubia Mosque and the Saadian Tombs, including the details of the mosaics and traditional architecture of Bahia Palace. Step into the bustling medina and photograph the vibrant market stalls and craftspeople. Wander through Djemma el Fna Square and capture the frenetic atmosphere with magicians, cooks, artists and musicians. End your day with a magical rooftop dinner and a Gnaoua music performance in the old medina.
DAY 3 MARRAKECH
Spend a day discovering the wonders of Marrakech through your lens. Take pictures of lush vegetation in the renowned Majorelle Garden, formerly owned by Yves Saint-Laurent, and get a glimpse of unique Berber artifacts from across Morocco at the Berber Museum. Admire the grandeur of the 14th-century Ben Youssef Madrasa and its intricate architecture. After refueling with lunch, take a stroll through the bustling medina for your next photographic subject.
DAY 4 - 5 HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS
Dive into the vibrant culture of the High Atlas Mountains with your camera in tow and refresh yourself in a welcoming hotel tucked away on a hill beneath the tallest peak. During your stay, discover the culture of the Amazigh people through strolling around the village and visiting family homes and markets. Go on a half-day adventure in the mountains and take pictures of beautiful scenes while treading on various trails. After your outdoor trip, take a break and appreciate the unique Moroccan traditions such as having a cup of mint tea on the terrace, unwinding in a hammam, or simply savoring flavorful dishes and freshly baked bread from clay ovens. Join in this timeless experience in rural Morocco and experience a world that hasn't changed for many centuries.
DAY 6 AIT BEN HADDDOU KASBAH
Cross the awe-inspiring High Atlas Mountains, journeying over the Tichka Pass to visit the Kasbah of Telouet. Once home to a powerful clan, its sandstone walls may be dilapidated, but the lavish tile and woodwork prove its former grandeur. Drive further to explore the intriguing fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, whose narrow alleyways are packed with rich history.
DAY 7 OUARZAZATE – DADES GORGES
This morning, head to Ouarzazate, a former trading post under colonial rule. Here, explore the Taourirt Kasbah and learn about the ancient techniques of constructing with adobe. Afterwards, take on the famous Road of 1,000 Kasbahs, where lush oases and stunning geological formations provide the perfect backdrop for photographical opportunities. Finally, make a stop in Boumalne Dades, a small town embedded in the mountain landscapes of the semi-desert. After lunch, have a photography hike around the spectacular Dades Gorge.
DAY 8 ERFOUD – MERZOUGA
Travel down the winding path of 1,000 Kasbahs to Erfoud, taking in the awe-inspiring rocky outcroppings, oases, and rose farms. Once in Erfoud, pile into 4x4s for an exciting ride through the desert. Afterward, hop on a camel and journey further, witnessing the breathtaking sunset against the Saharan dunes. When the day has come to a close, settle in at our luxurious Berber encampment in time to enjoy dinner under the glittering night sky, as well as Amazigh folk music and stories by the campfire.
DAY 9 MERZOUGA – MIDELT – FEZ
Rise and shine to explore the exquisite sandscape as the sun rises, casting a golden hue across the undulating dunes. Once you return to camp, fuel your journey with a sumptuous breakfast. Head off to the high mountain plains for an exciting journey to Fez, and check in to our hotel when you arrive.
DAY 10 FEZ SIGHTSEEING TOUR
Take a journey to this historic imperial city for a day of exploration. Visit the elegant Bou Inania madrassa, built in the fourteenth century, and photograph the intricate stucco walls, arches, and cornices. Don't forget to capture a close-up of the beautiful mosaics that adorn the Nejjarine Fountain. After, stop by the Kairaouine Mosque and the lively medina, where merchants offer heaps of spices and tanners submerge animal hides in buckets of dye. Later, explore the Royal Palace and the old Jewish quarter of Fes Jdid. To end the day, experience an exclusive dinner prepared at a typical Moroccan house, featuring a three-course menu and Sufi musical performances.
DAY 11 FEZ – ROMAN RUINS – MEKNES
Should you wish to do so, you may spend the day examining Fez in your own time. Alternatively, you can embark on an excursion to the Roman ruins at Volubilis, a UNESCO-recognized World Heritage site, and explore Meknès, the capital of Morocco during the 17th century. To bid a fond farewell to Morocco, we are invited to a celebratory dinner tonight.
DAY 12 FEZ/CASABLANCA AIRPORT
Following breakfast, you have the option of either transferring to Fez Airport for your flight home, or opting to go to the Casablanca Airport instead.
