DAY 1 ARRIVE INTO CASABLANCA
Arrive in majestic Casablanca and transfer to your luxurious accommodations, blending both modern and traditional Moroccan design. Take this opportunity to be in the same city which inspired the iconic film starring Humphrey Bogart, Casablanca. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure and enjoy the exotic atmosphere.
DAY 2 RABAT – FEZ
Start your Moroccan adventure by exploring Casablanca, the nation's largest city and the epicenter of its commerce. Behold the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, which can hold up to 25,000 worshippers and proudly boasts the tallest minaret in the world. Head next to Rabat, the royal capital, to view the grandiose Mohammed V Mausoleum which pays homage to the founder of modern Morocco, grandfather of the current king. While there, make sure to get a good look at the iconic Hassan Tower and Oudaya Kasbah, with its lush Andalusian garden. Finally, end the day with a cocktail reception in Fez, followed by a welcoming dinner.
DAY 3 FES SIGHTSEEING TOUR
Discover the cultural hub of Morocco, Old Fez, which was established over 1200 years ago by Moulay Idris I. Wander through the old quarter, meandering through the alleys and souks, and witness local craftsmen making pottery and bronze works. Explore the beautiful Karaouine University, one of the oldest functioning universities in the world. Afterwards, tour New Fez, marveling at the Royal Palace and exploring the Islamic schools and Jewish quarter. Take a journey through time in one of the oldest cities in Morocco.
DAY 4 ROMAN RUINS – LUNCH AT A VINEYARD
Travel to Volubilis, a World Heritage Site and one of the most complete Roman ruins in North Africa. Marvel at its impressive arches, basilicas and capitals, fashioned to perfectly capture the architectural brilliance of the Roman era. Admire the intricate mosaic floors of the former family dwellings, including depictions of Orpheus and the nine dolphins that represent good luck, alongside the arresting portrait of Amphitrite riding in her seahorse-drawn chariot. Later, venture to a nearby winery outside of Meknes for a delicious Chef's Table experience within the sun-drenched vineyards and olive groves. Conclude the day by returning to Fez, with the evening at your leisure.
DAY 5 FEZ – MIDELT – ERFOUD
On your journey to the small, sun-drenched Erfoud, take the opportunity to savor the local culture by passing through Berber villages, sprawling date palm plantations and the awe-inspiring Atlas Mountains. After a scenic drive, enjoy a restful stay at your hotel and end the day with a delicious dinner made with fresh, organic ingredients.
DAY 6 MERZOUGA DESERT
This morning, explore the fortified town of Rissani, deep in the Sahara Desert. Climb aboard a four-wheel-drive vehicle and traverse the spectacular reddish-hued sand dunes, creating an otherworldly landscape. Afterwards, switch to a more traditional mode of transport: a graceful camel, to ride to a nomadic tented camp. Enjoy a refreshing mint tea and pastries in the camp's reception before taking in the beauty of the setting sun over the desert. Later, dine on a traditional meal by campfire and be entertained with unique Moroccan music and stories. Finally, drift off to sleep to the tranquil sounds of the desert.
DAY 7 MERZOUGA – OUARZAZATE
Embark on a journey through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Dades Valley with its lush crops, waterways, and palm trees. Stop at Ouarzazate, a former stop along the way for African traders heading towards Morocco and Europe. Appreciate the stunning views as you make your way to your delightful oasis of a hotel. Travel the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and experience all this magical city has to offer.
DAY 8 EXPLORE OUARZAZATE
Start your journey by visiting Ouarzazate, a city with a rich history that the French built as a garrison but today serves as the regional hub for trade. While in town, don't miss the beautiful Kasbah of Tifoultoute, located on a hilltop with stunning views of the valley and the High Atlas Mountains. Your next stop should be Ait Benhaddou, where you can explore its unique UNESCO World Heritage Site and marvel at the kasbahs, many of which have been featured in iconic films such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.
DAY 9 OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH
Explore the city of Marrakech, an ancient oasis with vibrant culture, after a scenic journey through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Visit remote rural towns and observe the everyday lives of people along the way, before being welcomed to your luxurious hotel in the renowned 'Red City.'
DAY 10 MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING TOUR
Begin your exploration of Marrakech by discovering the ancient medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stand in awe of the impressive Koutoubia Minaret and take a tour of Dar Si Said Museum, once a 19th century palace. Afterward, take a walk through Djemaa el-Fna, Marrakech’s vibrant main square. Street performers, merchants and juice stalls are scattered throughout the area. Complete your journey through Marrakech with a visit to its storied souks, a maze-like labyrinth that requires an experienced guide.
DAY 11 MARRAKECH
Start your day off in the beautiful Jardin Majorelle, a garden designed by prominent French painter Jacques Majorelle. Be sure to stop by the Yves Saint Laurent Museum near the garden to get an even more in-depth look at the creations of the famed designer. During the afternoon, you can take your pick of these exciting activities: a cooking demonstration and tasting of traditional Moroccan spices, a guided exploration of the Souks of Marrakech, or a walking tour of the Jewish Quarter. End your day with a special dinner accompanied by the unique and captivating music of a local gnaoua band.
DAY 12 MARRAKECH – AIRPORT
Proceed to the Marrakech airport for your departure on an international flight back home.
