DAY 1 CASABLANCA – RABAT
Greeting you in Casablanca, a private driver awaits to escort you to your hotel. On the way to the hotel, the driver will give you a glimpse of what to expect in the forthcoming tour - ample time to explore the city and its contemporary streets and life. A delightful sight of the Atlantic Ocean and Atlas Mountain foothills that mark the eastern boundary of the city. Its wide boulevards lined with swaying palm trees painted in ocean breeze. The modern life of the people is celebrated in local art galleries and captured perfectly in Hassan II Mosque as its minaret stands proud in the city skyline. Take some time to settle in and explore the wonders of Casablanca and revel in the majesty of Morocco - A journey that will culminate in Rabat and its old imperial city, with a comfortable overnight stay and dinner.
DAY 2 RABAT – TANGIER
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, we'll embark on a tour of Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. Pay a visit to the 12th century unfinished mosque tower of Hassan, built in honour of Sultan Yacoub El-Mansour, before taking in the grandeur of the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. The monumental building is a testament to King Hassan II's dedication to his father, Mohamed V, who is fondly remembered as the father of Moroccan independence. Later, admire the picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean and the famed Strait of Gibraltar, visible from the 12th century Kasbah of Oudaïa. With its blue and white buildings, and a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and the Bou Regreg River, it's the perfect place for a photo stop. Lastly, we will visit the city of Tangier and explore the bustling Kasbah district located near the port. Delight in the cobblestone streets adorned with brightly colored doors, before disembarking in the old Medina. Here, you can wander the Grand Sacco and the Petit Sacco, home to luxurious boutique hotels and riads, which have been the inspiration to great artists such as Matisse, Camille Saint Saens, Paul Bowles and William Burroughs, and is the birthplace of Ibn Battouta, the renowned Moroccan traveler and explorer.
DAY 3 TANGIER – CHEFCHAOUEN
You will marvel at the tiny town of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Its winding streets and buildings are a canvas of brilliant blues, giving it a powerful charm that can be felt in its main square. The grand mosque, with its octagonal minaret inspired by the Torre de Oro in Seville, stands proudly at the center of the town. The Kasbah, with its 11 crenellated towers, including one formerly used as a prison, houses an ethnographic museum. As you browse through the bustling markets and take in the vibrant culture of the locals dressed in their straw hats, you will be taken away by the beauty of this picturesque town.
DAY 4 CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FEZ
We proudly invite you to join us on a captivating adventure to Meknes, once part of the Roman Empire, now home to some of North Africa's most exquisite relics and formations. Certified local guides will lead us to the ancient bathhouses, decorated with intricate mosaic floors and grand marble pillars, followed by the entrance of Bab Mansour commissioned by Sultan Moulay Ismail. Our journey continues to the majestic Mausoleum and Meknes Royal Palace, and then off to Heri es Souani, once the Sultan's personal stable and granary for his 12,000 horses. Our overnight stay for the evening will be in nearby Fez, leaving us with a renewed appreciation for Moroccan culture.
DAY 5 FES SIGHTSEEING TOUR
You will begin your journey in the morning with a guided city tour of Fes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest imperial city of Morocco. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the city's most renowned landmarks and attractions, such as the entrance of the largest royal palace in Morocco, the southern tower of Fes with panoramic views of the medina, and a tile and Moroccan mosaic pottery co-operative. You will also visit the tanneries of the city, and observe the locals working with the skins of animals in France. Following this, we will take a tour of a Koranic school, the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque University. After a delicious Moroccan lunch at a traditional restaurant in the medina, you will be free to explore the winding alleys of the medina, At the bustling marketplace, a diverse range of items can be found for sale; including dates, fish, spices, copper urns, carpets, and musical instruments, all provided by numerous vendors and artisans.
DAY 6 FEZ – IFRANE – MIDELT – ERFOUD
Begin your voyage through Morocco's Middle Atlas with a stop in the delightful ski region of Ifrane, often referred to as the little Switzerland of Morocco. Marvel at the fragrant cedar forests buzzing with the sound of Barbary apes, and wander through the traditional Berber villages. Have the chance to observe the monkeys in their native environment, and maybe even feed them while taking some amazing photos! When you get to Midelt, you'll be treated to some stunning views of the High Atlas from its beautiful location between the Middle and High Atlas. As you journey south, take in the majestic scenery of the legendary Ziz Valley, a deep canyon that runs all the way to Erfoud. End your day by spending the night in a luxurious Kasbah hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner.
DAY 7 ERFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA DUNES
Begin your desert excursion in Erfoud with an optional visit to the Fossils workshop. From there you can travel to the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Chrief, the founder of the Alaouite dynasty. Experience local music as you listen to the passionate beats of a Gnaoua band. Sample a variety of tasty desserts, like Berber Pizza and Desert Pie. Afterwards you'll be transported to the stunning Merzouga where you can take a much-needed break before beginning your sand dunes adventure. Ride across the sands as the sun begins to set, admiring its transformation into a brilliant red hue. Under the stars, listen to the hypnotic beat of Berber drum music and enjoy a traditional Moroccan feast before retiring to your own private tent complete with private bathrooms and hot showers.
DAY 8 MERZOUGA – TODRA & DADES GORGES
Your day begins with a stunning sunrise which sets the backdrop for a delicious breakfast. You'll take a camel ride to Merzouga, where you'll meet your driver for the journey to Ziz Oasis. Here you can marvel at the impressive ancient irrigation system. Afterwards, the tour will continue to Todra Gorges. You'll be able to take a leisurely stroll along the winding banks of the river, past palm trees, and all the way to the Gorge, which is a popular destination for rock climbers and picnickers alike. After lunch, you'll visit the awe-inspiring Dades Valley, where you can take in the remarkable rock formations which were crafted through centuries of erosion.
DAY 9 DADES GORGES – OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHDAOU – MARRAKECH
Our day will start with a journey through the renowned Dades Gorge and continue to the Rose Valley, the only place in Morocco where Damascus Roses are still grown. Once there, we will pick up some of the precious rose water and oil which can be used in beauty treatments. From there, we will visit Kalaat Mgouna, dubbed the "Rose City" due to its abundance of roses, before continuing on to Ouarzazate. Known as "the Hollywood of Africa", this city provides stunning landscapes and was the backdrop for movies such as The Mummy and Gladiator. We will also visit the UNESCO heritage site Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah before commencing our thrilling ascent up the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will admire the spectacular views and charming Berber villages, eventually arriving in Marrakech for the night.
DAY 10 MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING TOUR
After your morning meal, a local guide will be your escort on a journey of exploration around the magnificent city of Marrakech. First, you'll visit the many historical monuments, including the 19th-century Bahia palace, the 17th-century Saadian tombs, the 12th-century Koutoubia mosque and Ben Youssef Koranic School. Shopping for souvenirs or gifts for your loved ones at the Souks will follow. Enjoy the peace and serenity of the Majorelle Gardens where plants from faraway lands are now found. Your tour will end in the bustling Djemaa Lfna plaza where street performers and delicious snacks can be found. Take a break and appreciate the breathtaking panoramic views of the square from the cafes nearby. The remainder of the day is yours to leisurely enjoy.
DAY 11 MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA
After having breakfast at hotel, we will drive to Essaouira. You will have the chance to witness the Argan trees in the area, both ecologically and commercially important. You may even spot the local goats perched in the trees, munching on the leaves and fruit. There will be a chance to visit the Argan Oil Women's Co-operative and understand the various uses of the oil, ranging from cosmetic to medicinal. After taking pictures at various stops, we will continue towards Essaouira. Our tour will include a visit to the Skala Fortress, the port, the souks, and viewing the Thuya wood crafted by the artisans. We will walk through the medina and past the hundreds of handicrafts displayed there. With a unique culture and laid-back atmosphere, Essaouira is a melting pot of both locals and foreigners. It is a favorite for windsurfers because of its clean waters and Atlantic Trade winds that have kept the large-scale operators away, allowing the city to retain its distinctive character.
DAY 12 DISCOVER ESSAOUIRA
Today is the perfect day for exploring the picturesque streets of Essaouira. Exquisite handicrafts in the markets of the city will take your breath away. Whether you are seeking textiles, jewelry, ceramics, musical instruments or handcrafted wooden items, you will find it all here. Moreover, if you are looking for something more unusual, there is a collection of art galleries and small boutiques to explore. For a unique dining experience, you can find fresh fish in the local market and have it prepared right in front of you.
DAY 13 ESSAOUIRA – CASABLANCA
We'll start our adventure with a breakfast before travelling north of Essaouira to the port city of Safi. This is the home of artisans with remarkable skills in the art of ceramics and pottery. Our journey will then take us to the picturesque city of Oualidia, renowned for its plentiful oysters. We'll then reach the historic port city of El Jadida, known for its Portuguese-styled citadel and walls, large tank and various other fortifications from the 18th century. Here you can find colonial mansions with iron balconies, mosques and churches all side by side. Our final destination will be Casablanca, where we will check into our hotel and enjoy a peaceful night's sleep with breakfast.
DAY 14 CASABLANCA – AIRPORT
